The "Webster Technique:" Background, use during pregnancy, and in combination with chiropractic care

The Webster Technique was developed by Larry Webster more than 30 years ago. It has been observed clinically to be associated with improved pregnancy outcomes since that time.

The technique was taught by Dr. Webster involving a specific sacral analysis, diversified adjustment, and related soft tissue release to be used on all individuals especially pregnant women. It was observed that pregnant women under chiropractic care with breech pregnancies were reporting correction of fetal position after the use of the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique incorporates a chiropractic analysis followed by a chiropractic adjustment. Common to the theoretical and clinical framework with all chiropractic adjustments, physiological and/or biomechanical changes occur in the person receiving the care. It is important to have regular chiropractic care including the Webster Technique throughout and after the pregnancy. Evidence points toward safer, easier births as a result of improved neurobiochemical function.

Dr. Wagner has trained and performed the Webster Technique on pregnant women for over 25 years with great success.  Call us if you have any questions!  717-838-8889
